More Alaska Fish Stories

Today we tried our hand at salmon fishing and frankly, we weren't very good at it.  We struggled with the downrigger gear, struggled to maintain a consistent direction at slow speed, and generally failed.  However, after lunch we tried a few possible halibut locations and did succeed at that.  We caught our biggest halibut so far -- 29 lbs. -- as well as a very interesting rockfish called a Quillback.
