Doodling around with Adobe Premiere 9
On December 3, we travelled to Stanford for the holiday performance by the Fleet Street singers. The show, entitled A Christmas Carol, was a delightful mix of video, skits, comedic songs, and serious music.
I was fortunate to arrange my camera on a balcony ledge where I could capture the entire performance. While setting up, I also recorded parts of the warm-up.
Here is part of the warm-up. I've used it to experiment with Adobe Premiere 9, which I'm thinking of using to edit AVCHD video. This particular video exploits a cartoon-look filter that creates, I think, an interesting effect. I'm also learning to use simple titles, as seen here.

Andrew is Singing at Stanford!
Andrew is singing with the Fleet Street Singers, Stanford's men's a capella group. Today he forwards two You Tube videos for our enjoyment. The first is the traditional Stanford hymn, "Hail Stanford, Hail". The other is an anthem that will bring back memories for many of us.

On the return from Cliff Dwellers, we encountered a large wildfire on the eastern slopes of the San Francisco Peaks outside Flagstaff. The fire had started within the past couple of hours, and the plume of smoke was impressive. As we passed to the south of Mt. Elden, the smoke gave the impression of a volcanic eruption.
